Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1992)

  The film version of the story of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Rich Valley Girl Buffy goes about her life until she meets watcher Merrick. She learns she is the Slayer and begins training. Merrick is killed by Lothos and Buffy begins to take her role seriously. The vampires attack the dance in the school gym and Buffy vanquishes them and kills Lothos.

  In the film Buffy comes from a wealthy family, her parents are uncaring, and she is shallow andself-centered. Her attitude is more like Cordelia's from the series. Buffy is a senior in the movie and a sophomore at the beginning of the series. the gym didn't burn down at the end of the film as mentioned in the series. The vampires can fly and they don't turn to dust when staked. Merrick is reborn to live another life as a watcher when he dies. The Slayer is know by a mole on her shoulder.

  "The Origin", a graphic novel from dark Horse Comics is the beginning story of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's based more closely on Joss Whedon's original script than the film.
